†The LM-8000 and LM-8020 contain a hardware ASIC for dedicated handling of SSL termination and acceleration operations. The SSL ASIC enables layer 7 intensive workloads to have minimal impact on overall performance of the load balancer when heavy encrypted traffic flows are experienced.
